Dr. Evaristo Emmanuel Longopa

Dr Evaristo Emmanuel Longopa is a lecturer at the Private Law Department. Dr Longopa joined the School in 2008. He is currently the Coordinator of Postgraduate Studies since 2014. Dr Longopa holds a Bachelor of Law degree (LL. B-2007), Master of Law degree (LL.M-2009) and Doctor of Philosophy degree (Ph.D-2014) of the University of Dar es Salaam. In 2009, Dr Longopa also received a Certificate of International Trade and Development with Distinction from the Trade Policy Training Centre in Africa (TRAPCA)- a joint programme for the Eastern and Southern African Management Institute (ESAMI) and Lund University.

Dr Longopa is an external examiner to Ruaha Catholic University, Iringa from 2015-18. He is also an external examiner to Moshi Cooperative University from 2017 to date. Dr. Longopa has been engaged as a reviewer of proposed Law Programmes for Tanzania Commission for Universities from 2015 to date. He is an Advocate, Notary Public and Commissioner for Oaths. He is a member of Tanganyika Law Society and East Africa Law Society; Bar Associations for Tanzania mainland and East African Countries respectively.
